Banana Chia Pudding
Blend:
1 C nut milk (I make my own almond milk)
1 banana
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2-1 tsp vanilla
a squirt of agave
Pour into a container and stir in 1/4 C chia seeds. Let this sit in your fridge for at least 10 minutes while the chia seeds absorb the liquid. This recipe is another one of our favorites, my son and I literally fight over the spoon while we eat it! Chia is one of those crazy awesome superfoods!. Here's a website that gives a great explanation and such.
How do you make your own almond milk?
ReplyDeleteHere is the recipe I started with, but I usually use more water than what it calls for and I don't put in the dates or vanilla. We don't drink the milk straight, I usually use it in smoothies.
ReplyDelete1 C whole raw almonds, soaked 8-12 hours, drained and rinsed (about 1 1/2 C after soaking)
2 1/2 C water
3 pitted dates, soaked
1/2 tsp vanilla, optional
Blend until smooth. Pour through a nut milk bag and squeeze all the milk out. It will keep in the fridge for 5 days.
